Jim grew up on the North Shore of Long Island spending summers boating, sailing, fishing, diving, and water skiing while exploring every nook and cranny of our beautiful Long Island coast. Being on, in and under the water quickly became a lifelong passion which continues to this day. After graduating from Villanova University and living in Manhattan. Jim opened a temporary employment agency and recruiting firm in NYC which he owned and operated for five years before selling the business. This experience helped him learn all the ins and outs of running a business and the many hats one must wear to be successful. Jim moved to Miami and while studying at the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School Marine and Atmospheric Science Marine Affairs program, he entered the world of yacht brokerage and boat sales where he managed two lines of new boats, while building a book of yacht brokerage business. Jim worked with clients for 12 years using his knowledge of the marine industry, passion for boating and the ocean, attention to detail and trustworthiness to help make his clients boating dreams come true. Jim joined Strong’s Marine in 2022 specializing in Yacht Sales and Brokerage, where he combines his skill sets with Strong’s Marine’s long-standing tradition and commitment to sales and service excellence to help make his clients boating dreams a reality. Jim is married and has two daughters who also share in his love for boating and the ocean. Jim is an active member of his community working as a Trustee of the Village of Belle Terre as well as member of the Port Jefferson Harbor Commission.
